Description: Tree lovers, this one is for you!
We will spend a day along the beautiful Keswick River, planting trees at the James C. Yerxa Nature Preserve. This nature preserve protects 3 hectares (7.4 acres) and is known for its large hardwood trees and the presence of numerous rare and uncommon plants.
No previous tree planting experience is required, all skill levels are welcome!
What to bring:
Weather appropriate clothing and footwear
Water
Lunch (+ snacks)
Sunscreen
Gloves and shovel if possible (we will be providing some)
How to get there:
Located approximately 15 km west of Fredericton, NB., visitors can access Yerxa Preserve by a dirt lane off Highway 105, immediately west of the Keswick Ridge bridge. Park in the turn-around area near the river.
