Description: Tree lovers, this one is for you!
We will spend a day on the beautiful Middle Island in the Wolastoq (Saint John River) planting trees at the Noloqonokek Nature Preserve. Pronounced 'Nuh-luhk-wuh-nuh-KEK', this nature preserve protects 82.88 hectares (204.8 acres) of Middle Island, and contains provincially significant wetlands, which are home to many ecologically important species.
No previous tree planting experience is required, all skill levels are welcome!

Weather appropriate clothing and footwear
Lifejacket or PFD (we can provide some)
Water
Lunch (+ snacks)
Sunscreen
Gloves and shovel if possible (we will be providing some)
How to get there:
From Oromocto, follow Waasis Rd/NB-102 S for approx. 2 km. Turn left to pass Burton Bridge and follow NB-105 S for approx. 3 km. The preserve is a short distance from the public dock across the northern branch of the river. We will boat over as a group.
