Description: Interested in learning more about these unique ducks, the importance of nest boxes, and wetland ecosystems? This event is definitely for you!

The Nature Trust of New Brunswick and Nature NB are partnering to bring you a hands-on session all about wood ducks and wetland habitats. We'll be demonstrating the installation of a specially-craft nest box, made by the seniors woodshop group of Fredericton for these vibrant ducks, considered one of the most stunningly pretty of all waterfowl. Afterward, join us for a nice walk around the Ferris St. Forest and Wetland Nature Preserve to observe waterfowl and other birds in their natural habitat! 

What to bring:

  • Appropriate footwear and weather-dependent clothing

  • Binoculars (if you have a pair)

  • Snacks and water
