Trail Maintenance Workshop in Blacks Harbour

Terrain Description: A 2.5km coastal trail with varied terrain and elevation. The trail may be wet in some places and this workshop will be labour-intensive.

Description: Have you ever wondered what goes into building, maintaining, and caring for New Brunswick’s beautiful coastal trails? Join Nature Trust volunteer and expert trail builder, Walter Emrich at the gorgeous Connors Bros. at Pea Point Nature Preserve in Blacks Harbour to enjoy a coastal hike and learn more about essential trail techniques and safety measures.

This event will be hosted outdoors at the Connors Bros. at Pea Point Nature Preserve, so please dress according to the weather. There will be a break for lunch in the middle of this workshop.

What to Bring:

  • Daypack with extra space to help carry tools

  • Water

  • Lunch

  • Hiking shoes/comfortable footwear

  • Optional: loppers, hand saws, drills

This workshop counts towards the Trail Blazer certification of the Ambassador Program.
