Description: Learn about plant identification with expert naturalist Jim Goltz at the Shea Lake Nature Preserve!
Shea Lake is a beautiful, biodiverse nature preserve located just outside of Plaster Rock, New Brunswick and was the Nature Trust of New Brunswick’s first nature preserve! Conserved in 1988, the Shea Lake area is known for its rich soil and rare plant species. On this plant walk, you will learn to identify the different terrestrial species growing in this unique habitat.
The Shea Lake Nature Preserve does not have a designated trail system and participants should expect some bushwhacking throughout the event.
