Description: Join the Nature Trust staff and stewards in removing purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria) and woodland angelica (Angelica sylvestris). Both plants are invasive species and aggressive forest invaders that threatens biodiversity.
Managing invasive species is an important part of stewardship and at this event, you’ll learn how to identify woodland angelica and purple loosestrife, and how to best manage and remove them from the property.
Caution: Woodland angelica produces a chemical in the sap that can cause rashes and blisters when exposed to sunlight. When handling, gloves are required, and long sleeves are recommended.
