Terrain Description: Varied difficulty of wilderness trails, some tripping hazards or obstacles may be encountered. Trails may be wet and slippery in places, but the group will stick to the main trail system, going no more than 4km total, and will be taking frequent stops for instruction.

Description: Join the Nature Trust staff for this year’s kick-off to the Ambassador Program! Learn important field safety skills, navigation techniques, and how to use important conservation apps like iNaturalist and Avenza. Throughout the workshop, Stewardship Coordinator Pierrette Janes will guide you through the preserve and teach you how to use these applications to properly identify, locate and record species and sites on our nature preserves!
This event will be hosted outdoors at the Caughey-Taylor Nature Preserve and will involve some hiking, please dress according to the weather.
