Date: October 22, 2022

The Nature Trust’s 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-2 pm, followed by the Grand Opening of the newly established Wilson Family Nature Preserve in Coles Island.

The AGM is open to anyone to attend. This is an opportunity to learn about our conservation efforts across New Brunswick and how you can get involved in further conservation and stewardship in your area.

The Wilson Family Nature Preserve Grand Opening festivities will begin at 2:30 p.m., meeting at the nature preserve trailhead on Route 10 in Coles Island. We’ll enjoy an interpretive walk along the 2 km trail to showcase and experience the many significant ecological features of the nature preserve. The difficulty level of this trail is mid-intermediate as it consists of diverse terrain.

The Wilson Family Nature Preserve was acquired by the Nature Trust in 2021, with the family’s intention that it be protected forever in the memory of Adam and Dorothy Wilson. This 187-acre nature preserve joins the Nature Trust’s network of 70+ preserves across the province and has a unique combination of Provincially Significant Wetlands, beautiful mature red oak floodplain forest and mixed wood forest.

Please RSVP for the meeting and/or Grand Opening by October 19th by registering through Eventbrite. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions by emailing us at engage@ntnb.org or giving us a call at 506-457-2398. You will receive all location details after registration.

We look forward to celebrating another year of conservation successes with you!

The Nature Trust of New Brunswick acknowledges that the preserves which we protect are located on the traditional territories of the Wabanaki peoples.
