HELEN VALLIERES (she/her/elle)
CONSERVATION TECHNICIAN

Helen was raised in Montreal, QC, and has always had a love of nature and conservation. She loves to travel and explore new places which led to her interest in the diverse landscapes of the Maritimes. With a background as an environmental technician and a thirst for knowledge, she is completing her Bachelor of Science at UNB in Wildlife Conservation. Helen is fascinated not only with the scientific aspect of this field, but with the interconnectedness of nature and people, how we can learn through experience and from each other, and how to maintain and appreciate the beautiful Earth we have been gifted.

She believes system change, understanding, and new perspectives is how we can cultivate a sustainable future. The climate crisis is a complex problem that will take many hands and minds. Protection of the natural world and community engagement should be a universal goal.

In her spare time, Helen enjoys reading, photography, and biking or hiking to fresh views. She is excited to be working with a non-profit organization that holds her same views toward conservation and stewardship. Never one to stay still for long, she is excited to explore New Brunswick’s rich and diverse outdoors doing field work.
