
TOWERING RED OAKS ON WASHADEMOAK LAKE
• 75.7 hectares (187 acre) property on Washademoak Lake with stunning silver maple floodplain and hardwood river terrace forest;
“The red oak-maple floodplain forest are truly exceptional stands of multi-aged hardwood forest with many mature red oak, red maple and silver maple. This property is a critical wildlife refuge, and the oak stands are unlike others I have seen in New Brunswick. • Species at Risk habitat have been identified for common nighthawk, eastern wood-peewee, olive-sided flycatcher, and the wood thrush;
• Property is in proximity to the Partridge Valley East Protected Natural Area (PNA) and contains Provincially Significant Wetlands.
OLD GROWTH FOREST IN GAGETOWN
• 10 hectares (24.7 acres) of forested property, with areas of old growth forest;
• Silver maple floodplain forest and sensitive ferns cover the forest floor;
• Contains upland softwood forest, rich streamside hardwood forest, marsh, lake, and stream.
THE FIRST NATURE PRESERVE IN THE HARVEY AREA
• 21.4 hectares (52.8 acres) just east of Harvey Station in Cork Settlement with 30-year-old hardwood trees;
• This property contains a wetland area surrounded by cedar forest;
• We are thrilled at the potential to protect this property and have the first Nature Trust preserve protected in the Harvey area for wildlife.

EXTENDING THE REG BONNEY NATURE PRESERVE ON THE KINGSTON PENINSULA
• In honour of Mr. Reg Bonney’s wishes, we are excited at the opportunity to almost double this nature preserve in size;
• Your contribution to the Conserve Y(our) NB campaign this season will help protect 2.7 hectares (6.7 acres) directly adjacent to the existing Reg Bonney Nature Preserve;
• Expanding existing nature preserves is one of our strategic conservation goals and we are excited at the opportunity to protect this parcel containing tolerant hardwood tree species.

WETLAND REFUGE ON THE HAMPTON MARSH
• This freshwater marsh property consists of 3.4 hectares (8.4 acres) of Provincially Significant Wetland and the Hampton Marsh is known as an Ecologically Significant Area in the province;
• This beautiful area has high value as waterfowl habitat with several rare and uncommon wetland species and Species at Risk identified in the overall marsh land area;
• The Nature Trust has one other property in the Hampton Marsh complex (though not specifically nearby this prospective property) and the area is known for recreational activities such as bird watching and paddling.
EXTENDING THE MAPLETON ACADIAN FOREST NATURE PRESERVE
• Old tolerant hardwoods dominated by sugar maples and American beech;
• The addition of this 2.03 hectare (5.02 acre) parcel will extend the stunning Mapleton Acadian Forest Nature Preserve which was established in 2016 through a partnership with the Elgin Eco Association;
• The addition of this property will add to the existing 65.7 hectares (162.3 acres) protected as part of the preserve which has documented occurrences of chimney swifts, pine siskins and the willow flycatcher.
